Codex Gmail Read Only

A personal integration maintained by Vivan Vasudeva to search and read his own Gmail accounts with Codex.

What it does

The integration supports user-directed email searches, reading messages and threads, viewing labels, and retrieving selected attachments. Codex can use the selected information to answer questions and summarise email.

Read-only permission

Google authorization requests only the Gmail read-only permission. The integration cannot send email, create drafts, delete or archive messages, change labels, or mark messages as read.

Personal use and data handling

This integration is for the owner's personal use, rather than a public email service. Authorization credentials are kept in macOS Keychain and Gmail requests run from the owner's Mac. Selected email information supplied to Codex is processed by OpenAI under the applicable account settings and service terms.

This website provides information about the integration. It does not receive Google authorization credentials or host mailbox data.

Your control

Access can be removed at any time through Google Account connections. The local connector can also be disabled.
