Purpose and operator

Vivan Vasudeva maintains this integration solely for his personal Gmail accounts. Gmail information is used for user-directed searches, reading, summarisation, and related assistance in Codex.

Information accessed

With the owner's Google authorization, the integration can read the account email address, mailbox counts, labels, message headers and bodies, threads, and selected attachments. It requests only the Gmail read-only OAuth scope. It cannot write to or send from the mailbox.

Processing and sharing

Google supplies requested Gmail information to a connector running on the owner's Mac. OAuth credentials are stored in macOS Keychain. Selected message information and attachments returned to Codex are processed by OpenAI to provide the requested assistance. OpenAI's processing and retention depend on the applicable product terms and account settings.

The integration does not sell Gmail information, use it for advertising, or make it available to a public service. It does not train its own models on Gmail information. Local credential storage does not mean that AI processing takes place entirely on the owner's device.

Storage and retention

The connector stores authorization credentials until they are removed or replaced. It does not maintain a separate mailbox database. Selected email information may remain in local or service-side Codex conversation records under the owner's settings and applicable retention policies. Removing Google access prevents future retrieval but does not itself erase information already present in conversation records.

Control and deletion

The owner can revoke the integration at Google Account connections, disable the local connector, remove its credentials from macOS Keychain, and manage or delete Codex conversation records through the relevant local files and product controls.

This website

Cloudflare hosts these static information pages. The pages contain no analytics scripts, advertising trackers, login forms, or mailbox functionality. The hosting provider may process ordinary request metadata for delivery and security.
